Consultations

Consultations may take place in office or your home.
Most consultations are approximately 2 hours long.

Consultations may include:

  • assessment of the mother's breasts,
  • assessment of the baby,
  • weighing the baby,
  • observation of mother and baby while breastfeeding,
  • demonstration and reinforcement of healthy breastfeeding techniques and the demonstration and/or use of breastfeeding equipment.

A medical, pregnancy, birth and lactation history will be taken to assist in assessing your unique situation. This helps in forming a plan to help you move forward to meet your goals for feeding your baby.

Equipment such as breastpumps and scales are available for rent. Other items such as breast shields, slings, Lact-Aids, etc... are available for sale.

These items are sold through Beth but are provided by another lactation consultant, Beth receives no financial benefit from any sales and rentals.
